Dance Arts Students To Attend Summer Ballet Programs

Many of our Dance Arts Studio students who will be studying around the country this summer:

  • Carter & Samantha Atkinson auditioned for and were accepted to the Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive.
  • Savannah Banks auditioned for Tampa Next Generation, Harrid Conservatory and ABT (American Ballet Theatre) She will be attending ABT at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
  • Audie Clark auditioned for the Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive and was accepted for the two week session.
  • Josie Coleman auditioned for and was accepted to the Nashville Ballet’s Summer Intensive for sessions C,D & E. She will be attending, but has not decided which session yet
  • Michaela Heide auditioned for and was accepted to Miami City Ballet, accepted to Next Generation (with a 50% scholarship), and accepted to Nashville Ballet Intensive. She was also accepted to the Georgia Governor’s Honors program and will be attending the 2014 program.
  • Jonathan Hughes auditioned and was accepted to the following:  Atlanta Ballet (5 weeks), Nashville Ballet scholarship (5 weeks), Chataqua scholarship (2 weeks), Orlando Ballet scholarship (5 weeks). He will be attending Orlando Ballet.
  • Murray McCormack was accepted to ABT (American Ballet Theatre), the training school for New York City Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Magnificat, Kirov Academy of Ballet and North Carolina Dance Theatre. She will be attending the School of American Ballet in New York for 5 weeks.
  • Maggie McCullough auditioned for both the Orlando Ballet and Nashville Ballet. She was accepted to both but will be attending the Orlando/Florida Ballet program
  • Roxy Shackelford auditioned for and was accepted by Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) with half tuition scholarship, Boston Ballet with full tuition scholarship, (ABT) American Ballet Theatre and Ellison. She will be attending ABT for the second year.
